Kohl’s Cares collection featuring Clifford The Big Red Dog, available now through September. The collection includes a backpack, creativity kit, toys, and hard covered books to promote summer reading. The charming stories of the larger-than-life canine focus on kindness and send a positive message to young readers. Parents can also feel good about purchasing the pieces that are priced at only $5 each, with 100 percent of the net profit benefiting children’s health initiatives nationwide.

Featured pieces in the Kohl’s Cares back-to-school collection include:

At just $5, everything is affordable and oh so cute! I love that the money is donated, and my kiddos get high quality items for good money. Clifford is a great theme for children and he's such a loved character, you really can't go wrong with this choice.

I often see these Kohl's Cares items in their stores since they're changed often, and the idea that for a few dollars I can help someone, it's really a no brainer.

Find your local Kohl's store and help out by purchasing a few things for your children which will then help others!

Entenmann’s® is partnering with The Great American Milk Drive, hoping to deliver 100,000 servings of milk to children and families in need across the country! After all, donuts and milk are perfect together!

Entenmann’s® is proud to join The Great American Milk Drive in the “Entenmann’s® Donuts & Milk: Perfect Together Sweepstakes” helping deliver milk to those who need it the most. For every entry received during the “Entenmann’s® Donuts & Milk: Perfect Together Sweepstakes”, one 8 oz. glass of nutrient-rich milk will be donated to The Great American Milk Drive, up to 100,000 servings. Consumers can enter to win a variety of prizes during the Facebook sweepstakes, continues through October 31st. As part of the Facebook sweepstakes, 25 first prize winners will win a one year’s supply of milk and Entenmann’s® donuts and 100 second prize winners will win four boxes of Entenmann’s® donuts.

Founded by William Entenmann in 1898, Entenmann’s Bakery got its start delivering fresh-baked goods in a horse-drawn wagon. In 1951 home-delivery gave way to supermarket sales and the case at the end of the aisle was born. As a part of the Bimbo Bakeries family, Entenmann's continues to bake its famous donuts, cakes, pies and more every day, and freshness remains the hallmark of our products

A glass of milk always goes best with great donuts! My favorite through the Entenmann's company happen to be the 8 Chocolate Lover's Variety Pack Donuts. Since we were sent some coupons to help with this review, I knew this variety pack was a must! You have the rich great taste of chocolate with added extras like sprinkle, powdered goodness, and chips of chocolate! It can be hard to choose which one you want because they're all so delicious!

Lucky for me, our girls love the plain donuts and their normal variety pack. This gives everyone a favorite to choose from, and with four growing children, two each is more then enough to fill their tummies!!

Entenmann’s Little Bites are pre-portioned, good choice, multi-piece snacks that satisfy both parents and kids. Every Little Bites pouch is filled with bite-sized baked muffins that contain 0g trans fat, no high fructose corn syrup, are certified Kosher and most Little Bites are 200 calories per pouch or less!

One more fun product I wanted to share today is their yummy Party Cake with white frosting and colored sprinkles. They offer so many varities in all areas of foods, but their cakes are especially sweet. Our girls love the Party Cake because it's colorful, fluffy, and so moist!

While Entenmann's can be a little on the higher priced side, they're well worth the money because of their great quality and amazing flavors. You can find Entenmann's in just about any store including Kroger, Marsh, and Walmart just to name a few. The stores do vary what they carry and some items we couldn't find at one store, we easily found in another store.

Maximus Update: 6 Months Old

Max was 7lb 7oz at birth, 9lb 4oz at one month, 15lb at four months, and at an early six months visit, he had a small increase to 17lb 5oz. He is quite the eater compared to his sisters and while he's slowed down on formula in-between growth spurts, he is obsessed with baby cereal. While we've tried a couple flavors of baby food, he is NOT a fan, so for now we just continue with our routine and I think he may end up skipping right to table food in the next month or so.

Max turned six months old officially on October 24 and we chose to start having him attempt to sleep in his crib. This was a hard transition for me (LOL) but I've found the key to get him to sleep in his room and over all it's been great! He's had a couple nights where he'll sleep through the night, sometimes a 9-11 hour stretch, and other nights where he'll wake up once for a snack and right back to sleep. While he needs to be fully asleep before I can lay him down, it's been an easy transition over all and I can't be more thankful for that.

In the last couple of days he's started pushing up on his feet which in turn gets him to his knees. I am very much not ready for a crawling baby, but only time will tell. He's doing very well developmentally hitting all his milestones and thriving just like he should, so again I am so thankful for his happiness and health!

Thanks to each and every sponsor showcased in our Holiday Gift Guide, and if you see the cute button above then you know its Holiday approved!

Even though we have four little girls, they love trucks, cars, hot wheels, and anything big and powerful. Their father has driven a tow truck most of their lives and now drives a semi, so big trucks is all they know! I love working with Silver Dolphin books, and I was beyond thrilled when I was emailed about these new kits available for purchase!

Dig deep and start building as you learn about the mighty vehicles used at a construction site in I Love Construction Vehicles ($19.95; ISBN: 978-1-62686-562-4; Ages 5 and up). This complete activity kit allows kids to read, play, and explore the world of working vehicles, including diggers, dumpers, bulldozers, and enormous tunneling machines. Full-color photos throughout the book present these hardworking vehicles in full detail, and the included poster and reusable stickers complete the kit. Once kids have pored over the pages of the book, they can build their own construction site utilizing the shaped box and card stock pieces, and put the model dump truck to work!

Includes:
*32-page fact book
*Model dump truck
*52 reusable stickers
*23 x 16-inch poster
*47 model pieces to build a construction site

Turn on the flashing lights and siren as you learn about the powerful vehicles that respond to emergencies in I Love Rescue Vehicles ($19.95; ISBN: 978-1-62686-561-7; Ages 5 and up). This complete activity kit allows kids to read, play, and explore the world of modern rescue vehicles, including fire trucks, ambulances, helicopters, and rescue boats. Full-color photos throughout the book present these mighty machines in full detail, and the included fire truck poster and reusable stickers complete the kit. Once kids have pored over the pages of the book, they can build their own fire station utilizing the shaped box and card stock pieces, and then wheel out the model fire truck to save the day!

Includes:
*32-page fact book
*Model fire truck
*52 reusable stickers
*23 x 16-inch poster
*26 model pieces to build a fire station

While it does take a little while to get the pieces popped out of the card stock and put together, our girls have the best time with these sets. I like that you have many pieces to create a full scene, but nothing super small that can get lost. The books are possibly my favorite because the contents is perfect, allowing you to turn right where you want to.

My girls love the vehicle toy that comes with each set as well which allows you for true interactive play and countless times spent together having fun.

I See Me! It's My Birthday! Personalized Book *Holiday Gift Guide*

I received products for free in exchange for a review. All thoughts/opinions are my own!

As we approach the upcoming Holiday season, Mama's Baby Cupcakes has teamed up with several companies we think would be a great fit to purchase/wear/give to others in the upcoming months. Thanks to each and every sponsor showcased in our Holiday Gift Guide, and if you see the cute button above then you know its Holiday approved!

I See Me! publishes very high quality personalized children’s books that build self-esteem by celebrating the uniqueness of each child.

Madison turned nine recently and this book of course was in her bag of presents! I was thrilled when I See Me! contacted me about a collaboration because Madison loves to read and anything personalized is a huge plus!

It’s your child’s birthday and word is getting around fast! In this entertaining and whimsical storybook, your child wakes up to a special birthday greeting from Buzzy the bird. The adventure builds and the birthday celebration just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Buzzy spreads the news to your child’s family and friends, throughout your child’s town, throughout the nation, around the globe and even into outer space! Your child will feel extra-special on his or her birthday with this uniquely personalized book.

It’s My Birthday!” can be personalized with your child’s name, photo, birth-date, age, town and more! You can even choose the color of the cover. I love these special touches because it's something they can keep close, always have to look back on, and read whenever they choose. It's so fun because their face is through out the pages and their personal facts give it a special touch that can't be compared to store books.

This book is 20 pages long, hard covered, and 9"x11". You can choose from three different cover colors to more personalize for your child, and the online price is $34.99. Selected age range is 0-6 yrs old, but honestly I'd say good for any age! Having a good photo is key, so being able to do the preview mode and scroll through the book is my favorite part of the I See Me! website. Making sure everything looks perfect is key for a personalized item, so this feature is a must for all visitors and purchases!

Connect with I See Me! via their website or FacebookTwitterPinterest, & Instagram.

You can also find a variety of other books for holidays like Valentine's Day and Christmas, or special events like Big Bro/Sis, Baptism, or even Hanukkah. They also offer coloring books, stickers, lunch boxes and MORE!

Zoey's Attic - Announcing a Pregnancy Around the Holidays *Holiday Gift Guide*

As we approach the upcoming Holiday season, Mama's Baby Cupcakes has teamed up with several companies we think would be a great fit to purchase/wear/give to others in the upcoming months. Thanks to each and every sponsor showcased in our Holiday Gift Guide, and if you see the cute button above then you know its Holiday approved!

Zoey’s Attic officially launched in November 2006 by creator and owner Erin Delanty.  The inspiration for the website came shortly after the birth of their first child. Once they decided to grow their family it was a no brainer to have the store where families could come and get personalized items for children of any age!

Zoey's Attic Personalized Gifts is a great company all around, but announcing a pregnancy is right up their alley! They have big/new sibling shirts for every holiday out there, and I knew when Angelina told me she was expecting, Her little guy Trip needed a Big Brother shirt!!

She posted the above photo on her Facebook & Instagram so subtly back in mid September, and it took some people a little while to catch on. Sure it looks like just a cute little boy eating an apple at the orchard, but look closely and you'll see his adorable shirt announcing a baby on the way!

He is almost two years old and in a 2t shirt. Their shirts are true to size and they can fit people of all ages and sizes since they start at newborn up to 2-3x adults. You can choose different color options and make each item your own with various choices during your selection process. I'll be gifting Trip's little brother a shirt shortly before Angelina's due date and I can't wait to see her two little boys together!

LuLaRoe - Cassie Pencil Skirt

As we approach the upcoming Holiday season, Mama's Baby Cupcakes has teamed up with several companies we think would be a great fit to purchase/wear/give to others in the upcoming months. Thanks to each and every sponsor showcased in our Holiday Gift Guide, and if you see the cute button above then you know its Holiday approved!

LuLaRoe's pencil skirt takes the fancy up a notch from the maxi skirt without sacrificing comfort. The waistband flatters all body types and enables the wearer to adjust the length as needed. Fits true to size per the chart above, with some fabrics having additional stretch. Available in sizes XXS – 3XL. $35.

I'm not much of a skirts girl, but with my love for LulaRoe, I want to try all the styles they carry. I finally found a nice black Cassie from LuLaRoe Nina Stensberg. I figure black is perfect for a first timer because I could play with it more and get used to it with a variety of outfits and styles.

I like honest reviews and honestly... I didn't love this skirt the first time I tried it on. I'm an 18/20 pants so that puts me as an X-Large Cassie. I thought about sizing up but figured true to size is always my best bet when I try a new style for the first time, so that's what I went with! When it came in the mail I was a little disappointed with how it looked on me and the way it hugged my mom tire, but I decided to play around with it and see if I could change my own mind.

My first look I decided to go simple. I grabbed a black tank from my closet, put on the Cassie and then grabbed for my Monroe Kimono to help hide my personal imperfections but also to add a pop of color in an almost all black outfit. I really like this look because it's simple. It's a throw some clothes on and go outfit, especially good for the hot months because the Kimono is so light weight. I chose my coveted Converse because I'm a mom and they're my go to shoes when I choose not to wear flip flops. The Kimono keeps me covered but cool, adds some life with the fringe, and I think over all compliments the Cassie well.

My next outfit choice was to pair the Cassie with a Perfect Tee. Really any top from LuLaRoe will do, but I adore this hot pink Perfect, and thought it would look great off the black. I feel like this look is good for someone that works at a low key office but then takes the family out to dinner after at Chuck E Cheese LOL. You can swap out the Converse for boots or heels, throw on a cover up to dress it up (or down) and the slits on the Perfect Tee allow for the cute little knots that make this shirt so much fun!

I decided with my next outfit to turn one of my favorite Julia's in to a tunic/shirt and pair it with Cassie. It's a little more form fitting over all, but it still covers well and the stripes make me feel thinner. Again, this outfit is so versatile because you could wear this to work with a cover up and then come home, take the Cassie off, pull the dress down, throw on some heels, and go out with the husband! I tucked the bottom of the Julia in to the top of the Cassie skirt so it would stay, but over all it's another simple pairing that compliments the Cassie.

We all know who Carly is, and she's a major best friend of mine, however sometimes I just don't like the dress feel. This roses Carly I got a few months back is my favorite print to date, and leggings material, so it makes for each hacking. While I've done the fun knot with leggings, I figured why not try with a Cassie? I love Pinterest for giving me this idea, and it was total love! The Carly looks like a cute top, but yet the Cassie gets to show off my legs and slight curves since the Carly hides the imperfections, and it's simply too cute for words! When I made this outfit, it made me fall in love with Cassie. Why? Because in my eyes it is a versitle piece, even if you just use different shirts.

Since I loved the roses Carly so much with the Cassie, I decided to try another version. The color block one above is cotton and a tad tighter then normal, so I've been wondering ways to wear it. I thought the Carly could work because the pieces can help each-other out by distracting one from the other. I love all the knots and things you can do with Carly and I saw something similar on Pinterest to where you can see the Cassie peak through with Carly as the main piece. I paired it with boots and a Joy for more layering and think it doesn't look too bad.

Through the joy of Pinterest, I thought I'd share some other outfit ideas above. It's always nice seeing how something can be styled so many different ways! Dress Cassie up or down, she won't let you down when it comes to feeling and looking super stylish! She can even be worn as a SCARF!

You really can't go wrong with Cassie, she comes in tons of solid colors as well as prints. Everything from florals to funky fun prints, there's something for everyone.  For $35 you not only get a skirt, but a scarf, a shirt, a layering piece, and a huge staple in your closet for all occasions!

Check out Nina and her collection of Cassie's, along with great tops and dresses you can pair with it!

LuLaRoe - Carly Swing Dress

As we approach the upcoming Holiday season, Mama's Baby Cupcakes has teamed up with several companies we think would be a great fit to purchase/wear/give to others in the upcoming months. Thanks to each and every sponsor showcased in our Holiday Gift Guide, and if you see the cute button above then you know its Holiday approved!

We all want a cute dress that lets us breathe and move easier, so in comes Carly - a swing dress that flatters the best parts of a feminine physique while being flowy and breezy everywhere else. The Carly comes in a wide variety of fabrics, print, and washes, and also has some amazing feature like a patch pocket, high-low hemline, and open sleeves.

Just like some other pieces from LuLaRoe, I had my questions. $55 for a swing dress sounded like a lot, and many questioned its mu mu likeness, but when I started seeing the variety of colors, the beautiful prints, and of course how they look on women, I needed one STAT!

Of course I was on the hunt for a black Carly. It was to be my version of a "little black dress" and something I knew I could dress up or down easily to see if I liked it or not. While it took a little while to find because everyone wanted a black Carly too, it finally came in a size MEDIUM.

I know, you're thinking "MEDIUM?!" but it's true. Carly's are sized similar to the Irma Tunic which means you can size down 1-2 from the chart for a more fitted look. I'm a size 18/20 and average a 2x in most store brand clothing, but when this Medium black Carly arrived, I instantly was in love. The medium was a nice fit over all, hitting above my knees, and hugging my arms a little without being too much.

Next on my list a Large Carly. This watermelon pink spoke to me and I just had to have it! I was excited it was a Large so I could compare the sizing to see what I preferred, but to my surprise it was a different fabric then my black! This was a sweater like thicker textured Carly that offered a lot more weight and warmth, but still made me feel just as fabulous as the first one! Since it's a large, the main differences in size I noticed with the fit around my arms and width around my bust area. The length is about two inches longer which means it hits me in different places but you get used to the hem quickly.

Once I started a collection of solids, I started seeing some beautiful prints and color block Carlys so I figured that is the next best step! Color Blocking is a solid piece, but two different colors, and while I was in LuLaRoe Patricia Hotchkin group one day, I found a fun grey and coral shade I thought was super cute.

I liked the idea of having a Color Block dress because they're still easy to play with, but yet if you want to wear it plain, it's still dressier then a solid color and makes me feel a little dressier too. It's a nice cotton material but seems to run smaller then my other mediums, so I keep this one pretty simple. Since it's snugger around the bust, it gives for a good fitted look up up, but still has a good flow at the bottom.

I love the idea of leggings and a Carly because you get the great comfort of Carly, but since it is a dress, leggings help ensure you're covered at all times and adds more of a pop to your outfit over all. The paisley leggings above, really match this Carly well and they're my favorite two pieces together. I belted the Carly and then pulled the fabric up and over to make it shorter, so it appears kind of Tunic length vs hitting the back of my knees.

Last but not least for the Color Block Carly is the above look with a Joy and Cassie. I'm just discovering the Cassie pencil skirt, and I saw on Pinterest how adorable pairing with a Carly can be! Because it seems like smaller on me, I also paired it with a Joy to add another color shade as well as distract from the tightness once I made the knot. The knot brings up the front to show off the skirt, makes little pleats to hide problem tummies, and looks great done a variety of ways.

The above collage was made when I first got the black Carly over the Summer, but of course with Fall upon us, pairing with a Sarah, leggings boots, and even sweaters on top all looks Fabulous with the cooler weather!

This amazing printed Carly is my first leggings material dress and my first print! I totally made it in to a shirt!

Carly retails for $55 and comes in a variety of sizes, patterns, and colors. Check out Patricia's group for fun options and other inventory you can pair it with!

Feeding my Gang With Dollar General

December is a busy time of year for every family, but when you have a big family like ours, it is maximized! We have five children ranging in ages from 7 months to 9 years old, and we have to try to keep up with them all in their own special ways. Our oldest daughter is in to gymnastics and her oldest sibling loves Soccer, so we have busy week nights on top of our hectic schedule. Throw in to the mix the month of December and we're non stop!

With family functions, family visits, and nightly homework and activities, sometimes we need a yummy food that is quick and easy with minimal clean up. One of our favorite go to dinners is of course pizza, but nothing quite hits the spot like DiGiorno Rising Crust pizza.

My family has always opted for store bought pizza for the ease of cooking and the fact that it's a lot cheaper then delivery, but I especially love getting our small go to items from the Dollar General. Dollar General offers a small intimate store that carries all the basic essentials and then some that any family would need. Giving the option for both shelf foods as well as frozen, it's a one stop shop during my busy holiday schedule.

Another benefit to Dollar General I love is their digital coupons! Right now they have a $1 coupon for DiGiorno Rising Crust pizza, along with great essentials for the holidays like Nestle Hot Cocoa mix, Nestle Coffee Mate Coffee Creamer, and even Nestle Toll House morsels if you're baking special treats for Santa .

#FormulaForHappiness With Gerber Soothe Products

With having a big family, you'll quickly realize that no two babies are alike. As a mother to now five children, every child will have their ups and downs. I've found that Maximus, whether its gender or not, is a totally different baby compared to his sisters!  Through out the early stages of Max's life, I often fell discouraged with all of baby's discomfort and crying, but then finding Gerber Soothe Drops turned that all around.

Maximus is now 9 1/2 months old and thriving as a typical baby would. He does tend to have more tummy issues and relies on a bottle 99% of the time instead of any baby foods, so the Probiotic Drops come in handy with gas, fussiness, and ensuring his tummy is stable. This gives us time to enjoy little things again as a family of seven, whether it was a movie that didn't need to be turned up blaring, or playing UNO with the kids, not having a crying baby can really set the whole mood in a big home.

One great thing about Gerber Soothe products is that the Gerber Soothe Colic Infant Formula has the same ingredients as the Colic Drops to help babies soothe their tummies and digestive tracks to ensure as much comfort as possible. Gerber Good Start Soothe Infant formula is specially designed to ease excessive crying, colic, fussiness and gas while providing complete nutrition. While this formula is not intended to treat or cure any disease, it can help soothe your child but isn't a way to treat a possible issue. Ultimately you'll want to check with your pediatrician to ensure the safety and health of your baby and to ensure something bigger isn't wrong. I asked our pediatrician several times about crying and spitting up and other issues that make me think something else is going on with him, but over all he was just one of those pukey babies until his system matured and it was easier to sit up or crawl around.
In their first year of life, babies are learning to communicate, and crying is a way for them to express themselves. However, some babies can cry for long periods of time without responding to your usual comforting methods. Baby colic is quite common. 3 out of every 10 babies may suffer from it at some point, usually starting in the first 6 weeks of life and possibly continuing for 3 to 4 months or longer. Colic sometimes is defined as crying for more than 3 hours a day, for more than 3 days a week, for more than 3 weeks a month with excessive crying generally happening in the evening. Research indicates that the type of bacteria in the infant’s intestine may determine whether a child is colicky. This suggests a role for probiotics to help support a balance of good bacteria in the digestive tract of colicky infants.

If you'd like to continue this type of information, you can find the helpful webpage from Gerber about "Feeding and Colic Concerns" to better gauge the understanding of what could be going on and what Colic is all about. They have helpful tips to soothe colic babies of breastfed and formula fed children as well which is nice when you're learning what works for you and your little one.

Making Your Baby’s Nutrition Count with Gerber® Smart Flow™

$

I can't believe that Maximus is now 1 year old! It seems like just yesterday he was a teeny little squishy baby, however they grow up fast, and now we're at a new stage in life! Now that Maximus is an official "toddler" he thinks that he is more independent now, and that includes feeding time!

I've tried pouches in the past and just like in Gerber's adorable video, they could be messy. Maximus is our fifth child and I'm used to the same routine of things as my kids age, but I was intrigued with the Gerber® Smart Flow™ of their new pouches so I had to give it a try!

While I'd never really tried pouches with my girls, Max is all the time hungry! I decided these would be a great test for when we're on the go. I sat him down while I was cooking dinner to test out how well he'd do with the pouch, if he could navigate it himself, and how messy (or not messy) they would end up being. To my delight, her made almost no mess, held the pouch easily between his hands, and sucked the thing bone dry! It was easy for him to get the food out, he loved the taste, and found the spout and smart flow system did their job perfectly.

Since our children range in ages from 1-9 1/2 years old, we're often on the go with school functions, awards, and special events. Right now is spring soccer and I'm excited to take these to the girls' games for quick snacks with Max.

These Gerber® Smart Flow™ spout pouches are available at stores like Kroger, and retail for xxx per pouch. While supplies last, you can also get a printable coupon to use with your purchase to get more bang for your buck! Coupon or not, these are totally work the price and I love that Gerber listens to their customers to improve their products for the sake of their customers. I would consider these a #pouchWIN!
